Our team of vets...

Three full-time vets are responsible for the healthcare of animals presented to the surgery. They are able to offer a full range of diagnosis and treatment for all common companion animal species.

The nursing team comprises of three full-time nurses. All are fully qualified and have a high level of expertise in caring for domestic species, with over 30 years experience of small-animal nursing between them. Reception is run by a team of two full-time and two part-time members. As a first point of contact they are able to offer advice on when an appointment with a vet is needed, as well as being able to answer many day-to-day questions regarding routine healthcare.

Patrick with DicePatrick Dale qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Liverpool University in 1986. Working in Frome in Somerset for a year after graduation helped me develop an interest in both horses and small animals.

Subsequently working in a truly mixed practice in Henley Arden in Warwickshire, gave me experience with cattle and sheep.

Settling in Tring in 1988 then led me into rather a happy niche, dealing once more with both horses and small animals, but ultimately from 2003 with small animals only. Amongst other interests, at home I live with my wife, children, dog, cat, sheep, and chickens.

Faye Spencelayh is originally from Norfolk and qualified in 2011 from the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. She worked in a local small animal practice for 2 years before joining Springwell earlier this year.

She lives in Wendover with her husband Kevin, who is also a small animal vet working in the local area, and her two cats Bumble and Bailey who she adopted when they were stray kittens. Outside of work Faye enjoys playing badminton, shopping and spending time with friends.

She has two English Springer Spaniels - Lottie and Maggie(Lottie's daughter), a Border Collie - Nell, a Jack Russel - Molly and a Rhodesian Ridgeback - Tally, and two horses - Popcorn and Christie.  The animals have plenty of space though as she lives on a dairy farm, so it isn't as crazy as it seems!
